If you are still have ametropia after cataract surgery,
like myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism caused by cornea
you could wear soft contact lens after 1 to 3 months postoperation for no astigmatism
you could wear rigid gas permeable lens to correct your astigmatism
Toric intraocular lens (acrysof toric IOL) is a good option to correct astigmatism after cataract surgery.
Generally speaking, our goal is emmetropia. So most of patients need no glasses for viewing distance,
but they need a positive glasses for helping them reading.
